THE "FESTKOMITEE DES
KÖLNER KARNEVALS VON 1823 E.V."
(Cologne Carnival Committee)

The "Festkomitee des Kölner Karnevals von 1823 e.V." (Cologne Carnival Committee) is the representative of all the interests of over 100 Cologne Carnival  societies. Its task is to cultivate the tradition and customs of Carnival in Cologne, as well as to preserve its special Cologne character and originality. That includes, among other things, the appointment of Cologne's Triumvirate and the organization of the Cologne Rose Monday Parade. The great history of Cologne's Carnival is documented by the Festkomitee in the Kölner Karnevalsmuseum (Cologne Carnival Museum).
The Festkomitee fulfills its varied tasks primarily with the help of numerous honorary colleagues, for whom the "kölsche Fasteleer" (Cologne Carnival) is something very dear to their hearts.
